Jim Creek Recreation Area is located just outside of Arlington, WA, about 1 1/2 hours north of Seattle. Nestled in the foothills of the North Cascades, Jim Creek serves as a Naval Radio Station and regional outdoor recreation facility for active duty, reservists, retired military, DoD civilians and sponsored guests.

Jim Creek offers a wide variety of outdoor recreational opportunities, including camping, fishing, boating, hiking, biking and team building programs. We also offer regular weekend programs from May - September, as well as seasonal events.
Jim Creek's Twin Lakes are known for great fishing, boating and wildlife viewing. The area flourishes with fish, wildlife and northwest flora.
Our group facilities are ideal for command functions, retreats, reunions and seminars. Jim Creek boasts a beautiful lodge and two large group campsites with covered picnic pavilions.
Individual facilities include a variety of accommodations, including cabins, RV sites, tent sites, remote hike-in sites and apartment style "dens".

Jim Creek Recreation Area Seasonal Operations
Peak Operations: May 1 - Sept. 30
Jim Creek Recreation Area is open for day and overnight use 7 days-a-week. The Office and store are open Sunday - Thursday, 8 am - 5 pm and Friday & Saturday, 8 am - 8 pm.
Off-peak Operations: October 1 - April 30
Jim Creek Recreation Area is available for weekend, overnight stays (Friday - Monday) and Holiday weekends! Jim Creek is open 7 days-a-week for day use.
Enjoy extended hours on Saturdays where the Recreation Office, Bldg. 4, is open 9 am - 5 pm! Guests are welcome to use the pool table, foosball, shuffleboard and Wii console during this time and a movie will always be playing for families to enjoy. Guests can also enjoy the new 24-hour lounge, snack, soda & coffee vending machine, Satellite TV, and Library.
During the winter season, Twin Lakes and Cub campground area will be closed.
