Location: Pacific Beach Resort & Recreation Center's Windjammer Restaurant
Employee privileges include access to base facilities such as gyms, recreation centers, restaurants, and discount tickets to sporting and entertainment events.
Brief Description of Duties: Employees expertly take food and drink order and serve food to military patrons at Navy’s finest dining restaurants and bars. Takes orders from patrons for food and beverage items, and describes or suggests menu items on request. Adds decorations as required. Received and places food on a tray and serve. May have to return used glassware, utensils and dishes to bar or kitchen. Gives drink orders to bartender and food orders at the kitchen or deli. May dispense beverages and various food items such as cigaretts etc., on request of the patron. Ensure customer satisfaction by communication with the patron. Presents meal ticket and collect payments after patrons completed their meal. Keeps tables and chairs, remove empty glasses, change trays frequently. Keep wait station clean and neat. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements: Knowledgeable in all aspects of restaurant/bar operation such as sanitation requirements, courtesy and expeditious service. Must be able to compute cash charges and make change.
Ability to satisfactorily complete all background checks to include National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI).
Conditions of Employment: Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate. Work involves light physical effort such as moderate lifting, constant standing, walking, and stooping.
